We are a team of change-makers who believe that every helping hand can help families and create a better future for them. The organization is exclusively organized for charitable purposes, more specifically to helping those in our area and surrounding communities, including but not limited to, local residents, homeless community and students in need.
PHP provided sweatshirts for warmth, sleeping bags, food for weekly meals, Christmas day dinner, presents, Easter Baskets and more to Journeys the Road Home. PHP provides birthday boxes and other donations to WINGS. We also provide food and sanitary items to Little Sisters of the Poor and we provided Food for families to D15 and D211 students as well as hygiene kits. Each month PHP donates to PADS sites dinners as well as fulfilling their summer wish lists for items needed for the PADS sites. PHP helps the local community every day.
Our approach
Our Mission
Our mission is to make sure families and our community receives the support they need within Palatine.
Whether it is providing a meal, a warm sweatshirt, a reassuring supply of food after a long week at school, PHP will make sure that everyone gets support that meets them where they’re at as quickly as possible.
Our Vision
We want to build a world where no family in our community goes hungry and cold and that they get help that they need as soon as possible.
Our entire team wants to see a world where every family struggling in any way feels able to reach out and has people who’ll help them with food insecurity, and clothing insecurity, and more.

Pads Shelter Season is here- PHP has committed to providing meals and ‘to go’ essentials on the First Friday of the month, plust a 5th Friday of the month starting on October 2, 2024 and continuing through April 4, 2025 for St. John UCC- Arlington Heights and their PADS guests!
