Volunteer Opportunities

Our volunteer opportunities vary throughout the year and are designed to fit a variety of schedules, interests, and abilities.

  • Food Programs: Help sort, organize, and distribute food through our Helping Hands Pantry, Pop-Up Pantry events, and community food initiatives.
  • Student Support Programs: Assemble snack packs, organize school supplies, stock Comfort Closets, and prepare personal hygiene kits that help students come to school ready to learn.
  • Community Outreach: Represent People Helping People Palatine at community events, fundraising activities, donation drives, and awareness campaigns.
  • Donation Sorting & Inventory: Help receive, sort, organize, and inventory donated food, toiletries, clothing, and household essentials.
  • Special Projects: Throughout the year, volunteers support holiday giving programs, family assistance projects, packing events, and other seasonal initiatives.

Every gift to People Helping People Palatine (PHPP) helps provide food, personal hygiene items, and essential support to local students, families, seniors, veterans, and neighbors experiencing hardship.
